The School Council is excited to use this money to purchase brand‑new playtime equipment for all children to enjoy. And yes… we will definitely be bringing Break the Rules Day back next year.

The Year 6 team are doing a fantastic job, and it’s wonderful to see so many pupils enjoying healthier options at break time.

The children were treated to an exclusive behind‑the‑scenes stadium tour, exploring areas usually reserved for players and staff. They also visited the Nottingham Forest museum, where they learned more about the club’s proud history and achievements.

Following the tour, the group took part in a series of football‑themed reading activities, designed to inspire a love of books through the world of sport. The children showed great enthusiasm throughout and represented Mapplewells brilliantly.

It was a memorable day for everyone involved—full of learning, inspiration, and a touch of Forest magic!

The children came 3rd overall and were superstars! We definitely have some athletes in the making!

They were able articulate their knowledge about the Romans and explain the different ways the Romans have changed and influenced Britain.

Parents were invited into school and enjoyed looking at the Roman showcase!

Together with our F1 children The Rotary Club planted crocus bulbs in front of school on Henning Lane. The crocus, a flower that blooms in the early spring, was chosen for its vibrant colors and its connection to the global campaign to eradicate polio.

We look forward to seeing these crocuses bloom in the spring, a beautiful reminder of the ongoing fight for a polio-free world.

Here are just a few of our wonderful actors. 

In their Design and Technology lessons the children have been learning about the diet of the Romans and how this may look very different to our diets today. Today Maple, Oak and Juniper all had a go at making and tasting their own Roman bread creations flavoured with some rosemary. The children have had a fantastic time and have shown some excellent creativity and culinary skills in their making of the bread!

Also, a huge thank you to Miss Christie, Mrs Warren and all of the family members who give up their Saturday mornings to support these events. We couldn't do it without you!

Thanks to your generosity and participation, we raised an amazing £185 to support children in need across the UK. Well done, everyone! Your support makes a real difference, and we are so proud of our school community for coming together to help those who need it most.

This is a wonderful way to support one another and ensure that everyone has access to the uniform their children need.

Note: We are not accepting uniform that you may wish donate at this stage as we have limited storage in school.

Havenswood - F2 had a fantastic trip to Havenswood on Tuesday. The children loved joining in the activities, making clay faces, wooden frames and especially going on the zipline. Thank you for all of the adults who supported with our trip.
