Anti-Bullying Week - One Kind Word
Mon 29 Nov 2021Last week, all the children at Mapplewells took part in Anti-bullying week which this year was focused on 'One kind Word'. Each class undertook a range of work focused on saying kind words or performing kind acts for others and this having a ripple effect where others will do the same. Children also took part in an Anti-Bullying assembly where they were challenged to try and do more kind acts for others.

Remembrance Assembly
Fri 12 Nov 2021Ks2 took part in our Remembrance Assembly yesterday (11.11.21) to pay their respects to servicemen and women who have lost their lives in conflict. Colonel Keith attended the ceremony and explained to the children the importance of the poppies and how donations help the Royal British Legion. Following this, Mr Latkowski explained more about Remembrance day before the children observed two minutes silence at 11 o'clock. The children showed great respect throughout and their behaviour was impeccable. On display were also the Poppy wreaths made by each of the classes in the school.
