  • F1 final outcome

  • The Big Sing & Dance

    Glee Club visited Kirkby Plaza to take part in 'The Big Sing & Dance'. The children performed four songs; I feel good, hot hot hot, lovely day and one moment as well as joining in with the dances. They did absolutely amazing and we are proud of them as always!

  • Little Sing

    EYFS had a great time at Little Sing this week! We walked to Sutton Centre and had the opportunity to visit their brand new theatre! Whilst there, we joined in with lots of counting songs we even got a bag of Maths goodies! As always, the children were incredible and made us very proud. A huge thank you to the parent helpers!

  • Sports Day

    This week, to kickstart National Sports Week, our children participated in their annual sports days. They were fantastic in their field and track events and showed pride in their houses.

    Thank you to all of our parent helpers who gave their time to help on the day, without you these events wouldn't run smoothly.

    Also, a big thank you goes to the amazing parents who made every child a medal for taking part! You are amazing!

  • F2 stay & play

    Our final F2 Stay and Play session of the year was a wonderful way to celebrate all of the children's hard work and learning. The children loved exploring our Hungry Caterpillar activities with their grown-ups and were excited to share their classroom experiences. They also enjoyed spending time together exploring the outdoors carrying out activities such as playing in the sand pit, riding around on the bikes, going on the climbing frame and cooking up something yummy in the mud kitchen.

  • Tennis Event

    Children from Year 5 and 6 attended a tennis event run by the Ashfield School Games. The children were given the opportunity to take part in different batting and throwing activities and developed their tennis skills.

  • Visit from artist Paul Lillie

  • Flying High Partnership Awards

    A group of our pupils proudly represented the school at the Trust Awards event, and what a fantastic occasion it was! Children from Glee Club took to the stage to showcase their wonderful singing, impressing the audience with their confidence and talent. Two pupils also contributed a superb piece of artwork—a creatively designed cube representing Spain—which was admired by all. Well done Teddy and Lexi! Other pupils attended as parliament members and award winners, representing the school with pride and maturity. Every child who took part was a true credit to our school, and it was clear that a great time was had by all.

  • Year 5 residential

    Year 5 enjoyed a busy and exciting residential, taking part in weaselling, sky ropes, cargo nets and a night walk. Camping in tents during a thunderstorm was certainly a highlight, and the children approached every activity with confidence and determination. The children and staff all had a great time!

  • Trip to the Fire Station

    Year 5 and 6 children had a fantastic and enjoyable morning at Sutton-in-Ashfield Fire Station on Wednesday! Throughout the morning, the children took part in a variety of exciting and practical workshops, including first aid, online safety, water safety and travel safety.

     

    The sessions were interactive, engaging and full of valuable information, helping the children to learn important life skills and ways to keep themselves and others safe. The children represented the school brilliantly, showing enthusiasm, excellent listening skills and maturity throughout the day.

     

    A huge thank you to all of the staff at the fire station for providing such an informative and memorable experience for our pupils!

  • MTFC's last game of the season

    As part of our partnership with Mansfield Town Community Trust, some children were given tickets to watch MTFC's last game of the season.

    These children were nominated by staff for their dedication and hard work in PE lessons, for always trying their best and and their enthusiasm during our recent Blue and Yellow Day.

    The children have spoken very highly about the experience and were very lucky to watch a game with 9 goals!

  • Competition Winners

    We are incredibly proud to celebrate Stanley and Arthur for winning the ‘Bin Lorry’ competition! 

    Both boys designed eye-catching posters promoting recycling and reusing, and their fantastic work was chosen from all the entries. Even more exciting, their designs will now be featured on a brand-new bin lorry that will be travelling around Sutton-in-Ashfield!

    What an amazing achievement – well done, Stanley and Arthur!
