To mark VE Day, Mapplewells' children came to school dressed in red, white and blue to show their patriotic spirit. We held a special celebration assembly to remember the importance of peace and to honour the end of World War II in Europe. As part of the day, each child wrote what peace means to them on a note which was placed in a school time capsule — a message of hope for future generations.
