Year 5/6 Homework Expectations: 

Years 5 and 6 are required to read to a parent/carer at least four times a week for a period of 15 – 20 minute and this time scale includes time to talk about the book. There will also be an alternate maths or English task set weekly focusing on the children’s current learning.

Homework is set on a Monday morning and will be marked on the following Monday. The children will stick in their homework sheet in their homework books ready to take home. All homework will be a consolidation of previous learning and not new learning.

Autumn Curriculum

How can we learn from our mistakes? 

This term, we will be learning all about WW2 and the mistakes that were made during this historical time period. We will be visiting The Holocaust Centre to immerse ourselves in the tragic event. Throughout the term, we will learn about the different strategies that Britain used as well as the key figures who lead the fight.
