How can we benefit from change?
Over 10 fascinating weeks, the Year 3 and 4 children explored the incredible achievements of the Roman Empire and how it shaped the world we know today. They delved into the Romans' legendary engineering, discovering how their roads and buildings stood the test of time. Lessons revealed how Roman culture influenced language, law, and daily life in Britain and beyond. Through creative activities and in-depth projects, students examined how this powerful civilization left a lasting mark on history. By the end, they had gained a deep understanding of the Romans’ extraordinary legacy and its impact on modern society.

Enquiry question- Why is life drawn to rivers?
In the Year 3 and 4 geography enquiry, we have explored the wonders of rivers, comparing our local river to the River Orange in Africa. We have investigated the physical features that shape these rivers, such as waterfalls, meanders, and floodplains, as well as the human features, including bridges, dams, and settlements. Through our learning, we have discovered how rivers support wildlife, people, and the environment, while also considering the impact of human activity on these vital waterways. To end our enquiry, the children recieved a visit from Serven Trent to share their knowledge of the water cycle and the impact of pollution in rivers.
