Welcome to our Picture News section of our website. 

Picture News is a fabulous resource that we use to enhance the children's development of our 'Learning for Life' curriculum. This encapsulates our PSHE, SMSC teaching and supports our school ethos, enabling us to continue to strive to promote the British Values as well as the 9 Protected Characteristics of Equality.

We are also very proud to announce that Mapplewells Primary and Nursery School are now an advocate school for Picture News. 

Each week there are class assemblies based around the News topic for that week...these resources will then be displayed in class and uploaded to this page on our website, to enable children to further explore these news stories at home and discuss with families if they so wish to.
