Our Learning Journey
During our Spring Enquiry, children developed various Geographical skills. For example, being able to use longitude and latitude measurments to describe the locations of countries. Furthermore, children delved into describing the climate, topography and vegetation types within different biomes. More specifically, children compared the similarities of the UK and Mexico along with comparisons between desert and aquatic biomes. Throughout this, children enhanced their learning with a D.T project of creating dioramas. The intended purpose was to education others about the effects humans have on quatic biomes through littering and water pollution. Finally, children formed double page spreads to showcase their understanding of their learning which was presented to other children in the school and a visitor from Sutton Academy.
