Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training


Candleby Lane TSA is a lead deliverer with the Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training SCITT and offers Primary Teacher training in schools across the City and County each year. Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training is a SCITT managed by Candleby Lane TSA and their partners in Leicestershire - Affinity TSA. Through their partnership they aim for a person's training year to be the first step in their career. 


The programme offers both QTS and PGCE qualifications and they work in close partnership with Nottingham Trent University and the University of Leicester to accredit this learning. Full details can be found at Inspiring Leaders SCITT website.

Part time Clerical Assistant


Clerical Assistant, fixed term – 1 year contract, subject to a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months

Part time, 8 hours per week. Term time only

NJE Grade 2, (Points 2-4) £17,711-18,426 pro rata

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible individual to join the office team at Mapplewells Primary & Nursery School, which is an academy within the Flying High Trust.  You will be working with our Office Manager and existing Clerical Assistant so you will need to be able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.


The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • excellent organisational, administrative and record keeping skills.
  • outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • good IT skills
  • previous school experience
  • an understanding of safeguarding.

  • offer a warm and friendly reception service
  • ensure that all pupil and personnel data on Scholarpack is accurate and current
  • collect and reconcile monies
  • carry out general administrative duties
  • forge excellent relationships with our parents, staff, children and wider school community.

Our office team works together to ensure the smooth running of the school on a daily basis, and provides a welcoming and efficient reception service to our parents, visitors, children and staff. 


We are looking for someone who can remain calm and cheerful in a busy environment and is able to prioritise work to ensure that the needs of our pupils and wider community are met.


The hours will be 8.30am – 12.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, term time only.
