On Monday afternoon, Year 4 had a lesson all about bubbles linking to their science topic this summer term: states of matter. The children learnt about how liquids turn into gases and how this change can be reversed. The children then got to go onto the field and have some fun blowing bubbles to observe how bubbles are made. They saw that when they blew air (a gas) into the liquid on the wand, the liquid trapped the air inside it and this created a bubble. So, the outside is a liquid, and the inside is filled with gas.
